FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
This is Washington — if you open the roof, won’t my house get wet? Is winter replacement really safe?
Yes, it’s safe. We work in small sections with daily dry-ins, so no area is left uncovered overnight. If weather changes, we pause, dry-in, and protect the area before leaving the site.
We didn’t have a budget during the summer—now winter worries us. Can you replace a roof when it’s raining?
We don’t install during active rain. Instead, we plan around clear weather windows, use waterproofing protection (such as tents, tarps, plastic, etc.) when needed, and follow all safety and prep procedures until the conditions are right.
I’m skeptical of “winter warranties” and hidden extras caused by rain.
Manufacturer warranties apply year-round when materials are installed per specifications, and our workmanship warranty isn’t affected by the season. Any additional work only arises from previously unseen issues or owner-approved changes — always documented with photos and video for full transparency.
What about curing and installation quality in winter?
For coatings, we schedule dry breaks and use quick-cure materials. For membranes, we use heated welds and protect seams until the final seal.
Will tenants or customers be disrupted?
We coordinate entrances, quiet hours, and signage in advance. Our portal keeps everyone informed, and we clean perimeters daily to minimize disruption.
What warranties apply in winter?
The same manufacturer and workmanship warranties as in any other season — exactly as outlined in your contract and system specification.
How fast can you respond to a leak?
For urgent leaks, we aim to dispatch within 4 hours when possible. Our first priority is to stabilize the issue and prevent water from spreading, then plan a permanent repair.
If the rain keeps coming, won’t the budget go up?
Your budget is protected by the agreed-upon scope of work and corresponding line items. If a change order becomes necessary, it’s handled transparently with full documentation and approval.
Winter means delays?
Not necessarily. With forecast-based scheduling, proper waterproofing methods, and phased project management, most jobs finish within the planned timeline. You’ll be able to track daily progress through your Project Portal.
